CDR’s
Anna and I are starting a CDR label called “BEHIND THE DOOR” with all handmade packaging. Expect things along the lines of the Black Optics Owlfood release, so when we say handmade we mean it. We’ve got first 2 releases in the works. All I can say is right now is were pretty stoked at what is to come.
We’ve been deliberating on a name for a while, and I’m sad to see some of them vanish forever. Who knows they might show up elsewhere… song titles, dog names, public bathroom art.
Should have related sketches up here very soon.

Owlfood played up in Rochester NY on 3.15.08 at our friends Jon & Sarah Rutherford’s new art studio. We had a great time, thanks in large part to our hosts.
After the show we threw the ‘Owlfood’ banner out the window. The letters floated like a scene in some french film, fuckin’ artsy. I guess we should have shot video. Photo by: Micheal Hutcherson
Jon is a photographer studying at RIT. He took some band Poloroids of us.

Received print samples today for Scott Kelly’s forthcoming solo CD. This project was special, Having spent a lot of time with his music over the years, I wanted to push myself hard. Stark and beautiful just like the songs. I’m truly grateful to have been asked..
Spent some time with the new songs, wearing headphones and painting before bringing things into the computer…
